Right next door to them are the Santo Domingo tribe who are on the Rio Grande in New Mexico. White slip covers the body of a pot and black geometric designs are drawn over it. http://www.andreafisherpottery.com/cgi-bin/puebloall.cgi?Santo_Domingo

Travel up the Rio Grande a little further and you will come upon the Cochiti tribe who live in the North-central New Mexico area. Their pottery is often decorated with designs of lighting, clouds, and rain. Some are in the form of birds or humorous figurines of people and animals. http://www.heardmuseumshop.com/browse.cfm/2,84.html

Journey to the east and the small San Ildefonso tribe will greet you with their most famous potter being Maria Martinez. Their pottery is highly polished red or black ware with matte designs. http://www.toh-atin.com/pottery/san-ildefonso-pottery
