CONSERVATION OF OUR ENVIRONMENT

Process

A Caribbean Mangrove Island Virtual Tour is to help raise the awareness on environmental issues and develop a love for nature.  You will be researching information about mangroves, where they are found, and why people need to protect them.  There are pictures of animals and plants which are part of the ecosystem on this island.

FIRST - Meet as a team of twos or threes to establish your ground rules and responsibilities.  Do remember that all team members have an important role to play!

SECOND - Begin your individual tour and think about what type of information you might suggest to the group for a poster or brochure.  Don't decide on which yet.  Enjoy the virtual tour and take time to explore!  However, you need to keep on track with assigned timelines.

THIRD - Brainstorm possible formats for a selected product (poster or brochure) as a group.  After you have done some research on mangroves and been on the virtual tour, you can set some criteria for the selected product.  LOOK INTO THE FORMAT AS A GROUP so that your creativity and innovation is in tandem.  Divide your work in whatever way your TEAM determines is your best method for working.

Your research begins:  Do the following activities individually and as a group, using the following timelines.
