Unit 3: The Enlightenment
YOU WILL WORK WITH YOUR GROUP on the FOLLOWING:
STEP 1: Go to GOOGLE DRIVE--> 1st Quarter--> UNIT 3--> CREATE a DOCUMENT name it Influenced Science.
STEP 2: Read the Student Handout- What Influenced Science, and How? As you read, in your Influenced Science DOCUMENT, make a list of INFLUENCES that helped promote the development of science.
STEP 3: Briefly discuss which INFLUENCES you believe to be DIRECT INFLUENCES on SCIENCE and which you believe to be INDIRECT INFLUENCES on SCIENCE and make a list for each.
STEP 4: Divide these 2 lists into 3 categories:
A. Interaction with other people
B. Contact with new ideas and information
C. Observation and management of what is in the physical environment
STEP 5: Write an explanation in your Influenced Science DOCUMENT, ways that the items/influences in each category helped promote the development of/or changes in science. Be prepared to SHARE with the WHOLE class.
STEP 6: Think about which influence is the MOST IMPORTANT for each of the 3 categories, then write these in your Influenced Science DOCUMENT, and give an explanation for your choices.
