1. With your target university in mind, do the research on the following items of that university:

1) the history of that university, particularly in the culture aspect;

2) how does the university celebrate its anniversary in terms of the cultural elements?

3) what are the traditional festivals passed on in that university?

4) what are the big events , esp. relevant to culture, that have ever occurred on the campus?

5) list those excellent alumni and their contributions.

2. Analyze the following two items:

1) what are the cultural characteristics of that university?

2) what's the biggest difference compared with your culture back at home?

3. Watch the video on the tradion of May Day of Cambridge to get the students' view broadened.
