  1. Students will be able to examine and reflect upon their off and online responsibilities in order to learn that good digital citizens are responsible and respectful not only in the digital world but beyond.

    1. Students will be able to:

      1. Analyze information to generate ideas (S1C1PO1)

      2. Identify patterns and trends to draw conclusions

      3. Explain and demonstrate the safety and etiquette of digital environments to communicate with intended audiences.

  2. Students will be able to learn about the benefits of sharing information online, as well as about the safety and security risks of sharing certain types of information. Students will learn to distinguish between personal and private information, and develop an understanding of what types of information can put them at risk for identity theft and other scams.

    1. Students will be able to:

      1. Analyze information to generate ideas and processes (S1C1PO1)

      2. Explore and experiment with system variables using models or simulations (S1C2PO1)

      3. Analyze information using digital creativity tools to create original works and express ideas. (S1C4PO1)

      4. Analyze information using digital collaboration tools to produce original works and express ideas. (S1C4PO2)

  3. Students will be able to describe cyberbullying and strategies to deal with it. Students will be able to explain the consequences of inappropriate use of a personal digital device.

    1. A. Students will be able to:

      1. Write essential questions to investigate a topic or issue using digital tools and resources. (S4C1PO1)

      2. Plan and manage research using credible digital resources to develop solutions to answer a question. (S4C2PO1)

      3. Explain the consequences of inappropriate use of a personal digital device. (S5C1PO1)

      4. Describe cyber-bullying and describe strategies to deal with such a situation (S5C1PO2)
