According
to our anonymous reporter, rumor has it that city officials are planning on
shutting down the Central Park Zoo due to its decreasing popularity over the
years. New Yorkers are all very
devastated to see the zoo go to ruins, because the zoo has been there
throughout the generations.
A
recent survey was conducted by a very well known company on how the general
population felt about the Central Park Zoo.
Most of the comments included how “the subway fare to the Central Park
Zoo is the same as the Bronx Zoo,” and how “the Bronx Zoo is much bigger, and
not only has all the animals that the Central Park Zoo has to offer, but
more”. One survey participant also went
as far as commenting, “I knew it (Central Park Zoo) would close down way—
before anyone heard or said anything about it!
Ever since that footage called Madagascar was shown on the
big screen, I knew the zoo wouldn’t last long.
I just told my wife the other day, ‘Look! Not only do people prefer going to the Bronx Zoo
to see animals, even the animals themselves want out!’”.
Will this really be the end of the
Central Park Zoo? City officials say
they will have a final decision on the fate of the zoo in two weeks’ time. Join us back on channel 8 in two weeks, and
we will go live on the final decision made by city officials.
