Introduction
Cross-cultural communication plays significant role
in every organisation. The globalisation, economic liberation along
with political changes in the environment brought changes in the work
environment. As we all agree that culture is the sum total of values,
beliefs, behaviours, customs and attitudes hence, these
factors would always vary from culture to culture. Every organisation in
this present scenario cannot maintain complete isolation as sharing of
knowledge and technology is part of work culture.Communication is an important part of any business moreover
in multinational companies any kind of small mistake or overlooking of
any aspect would bring hazardous results. Hence, international business managers should be familiar with
certain elements of culture like customs, mannerisms, values and
attitudes.
The crucial question here is to analize cultural differences of countries all over the world and to create a unified code of conduct for multinational companies.
