Boston Tea Party: The Liberty Gazette

This web quest is designed for students to learn about the Boston Tea Party and the events that led up to it and ensued shortly after. The colonists rebelled against Britian by protesting the taxation of tea and throwing tea off three of Brtitian's ships sitting in the Boston Harbor. There are several fun activities to complete in order to learn about the topic fully, this will be a fun adventure of going back in time.

Imagaine you are a colonists back before the country had broken away from Britian. Imagine being there as Ben Franklin indignantly rants about the injustice of the taxation of the colonies by Britians Parliment. What must that have been like? How exciting to be  in the room with Ben Franklin and ready to fight for the cause. He asks, "How do you feel about paying taxes? Where  are you going to get more money? I dont have more, do you? How many more hours must we work to satisy the British greed?"

Imagine if you were a reporter in Boston during that time....writing for, "The Liberty Gazette." Research the topic you are assigned and report back to the paper....this is your assignemnt.
