Same planet, different worlds

There is a widespread belief that men and women are different not only physically but that they also differ in their personality, cognitive abilities, leadership abilities, behaviour, the way they react to events and so on. Very often they are portrayed as beings from different planets. Are they really different?

This belief may stem from the fact that the roles of men and women in the society have been different for centuries. Until the Women�s Rights Movement, all societies were dominated by men, they had the right to a good education, they held the important positions in the society, while women were relegated to the position of wife and mother. The feminist movement opened new opportunities for women, so that during the last century the role of women started changing and they gradually gained the rights that once were only men�s privilege.
