Definition of Noun Clause

Noun clause is a dependent clause that functions as a noun or noun. Noun clause can function as a subject or object in a clause or other phrase.

Because it is often used as a noun, noun clause is usually replaced by the pronoun "it"

In a sentence, the noun clause will be a dependent clause. A dependent clause is a clause that cannot stand alone as a complete sentence because a dependent clause does not convey a complete thought even though it has subjects and verbs.
