You have worked tirelessly to earn your doctorate in materials science (Your parents are so proud :-)). After graduation, you accepted a position at a large university in the materials science and engineering department. You and your team are working on an exciting project involving a particular nanoparticle. Just as your team is on the verge of a breakthrough, you receive word that your project could lose its funding!  It's up to you and your team to convince the university administration that research on your nanoparticle is not only worthwhile, but could lead to important and exciting changes that would have a positive effect on all humankind. The ball is in your court.  You must prepare a compelling argument as to why your funding should be renewed.
