Have you ever wondered how the changing political climate and polarization are affecting the ways in which teachers talk and react to their students? To practice our polling skills, you will be working with your team to create a 15 question anonymous survey for teachers with the goal of finding out more about this very topic. But first, you need to learn how things changed for teachers immediately following the 2016 election in November. Take a few moments to read this story sent to teachers from Teaching Tolerance magazine last year. After reading, discuss some thoughts or questions you have. Take note in the article about ways teachers were instructed to deal with possible classroom issues related to the new Presidency.
