Branches of the United States Government

In this lesson the student will reinforce their knowledge of the three branches of the United States Government. The

founding fathers of our nation, the men who wrote the Constitution, did not want any one person to have too much power.

They wanted a form of government that included three separate branches to provide a separation of powers. The three

branches work together to and maintain a balance of power.
