Student Learning Outcomes:

  • Students will summarize the importance of patient education during the prenatal period & labor and delivery process
  • Students will identify three positive outcomes from patient involvement during the prenatal period & labor and delivery process
  • Students will develop a brief hypothetical plan of care for a gravid patient that includes one form of patient education and one nursing intervention that involves the patient in the decision making process

Please note that you will not be tested over the content of this WebQuest. The purpose is to expand your knowledge regarding patient education and involvement during the prenatal period & labor and delivery process to the point where the above outcomes are achievable.

HOWEVER, the content in this WebQuest may help you study for your OB Exam 1 AND two extra points will be added to your exam grade upon completion. After navigating through the WebQuest, please complete the survey under the Evaluation tab and the 5 question Quiz. Email your answers to both the survey and quiz to [email protected] by March 17th and I will give Mrs. McCormick a list of students who will receive the extra credit.
