The Food Groups



It is so easy now for children to chose junk food in the lunch line rather than food that is good for them, and we are seeing more an more of it. The food that these children are eating does not provide a good well balanced plate for them so they are not getting nearly enough nutrients that they need. Children should be getting vegetables, fruit, dairy, and protein but most aren't. Our job is to help these children to understand that they need to eat a well balanced meal in order to feel good and it be healthy.
