Social Studies

The students will begin the exploration of the United States with learning of the Native American culture. As they look at the American Indian background  and the people that came afterword's a clear time line would be established. The students will understand the various backgrounds of the people living in the United States. The lesson will then transition into the understanding of the geography and cultural make up of the United States. The lesion will end with a class discussion of what makes the United States a complex nation amongst the rest of the nations in the world.
