21st Century High School Issues: Learning how to Make Better Choices

Welcometo the Metropolitan of New York, the city that never sleeps!  MTV is looking to find one lucky student in a New York City high school to share his or her interpretation of 21^st century high school issues, which affect teenagers.  Your assignment will be to research a topic, which you are allowed to choose from the selected list of current scenarios/issues affecting 21^st century students.  Using your creativity, problem-solving, and high-level thinking skills, you will be asked to demonstrate your understanding of the topic by choosing one type of presentation format (e.g., research paper, video, PowerPoint, song, poem, educational platform) to present the 21^stcentury issue to the MTV director including tips, prevention and treatment strategies for dealing with the current issue. Remember that the audiences are teenagers just like you, and you might be the only one who is able to approach them with information about the unhealthy issue, so that they can make better choices in their life.  Your teacher and the MTV director will choose one winner who will go on the morning show to present what they value to be an important issue, which affects teenagers nationwide.  Now is the time to research, analyze and write information; to let teenagers know the facts, tips, preventions, and treatments for 21^st century issues that fellow teenagers struggle with everyday!
