Finding Successful Arguments Online

A true argument is not the same thing as an emotional statement on Facebook, where you can leave the conversation or delete a post if you do not like how it is going.  True arguments change minds.  Arguments show people the fallacies of their position, and cause listeners/readers to rethink their position.  This does not happen with attacking your listener/reader, or by taking shots on social media and then running away.
