Front Strut Assembly

Introduction

You're stressed with work, family, bills, life in general, and now your car throws a curve ball at you.  You realize that your front end is bouncing all over the place and you're worried about your safety and those around you, so you take it over to your neighborhood Volvo mechanic.  He tells you that you need to replace your front struts and quotes the job at $550.00 for each side however; he could cut you a sweet deal by taking 5% off which would come up to a grand total of $1055.00.

At this time, you really can't afford $1055.00 and you're skeptical about his quote, so you researched and found out that majority of the costs were his labor costs. The parts to replace the struts on your vehicle were only $143.00 per shock however; you could purchase a kit that included the struts, springs, hardware and more for both sides at only $592.47 but there's a 20% off all parts storewide which brings the price down to $473.98.

There's no question about it, you're better off purchasing the parts yourself and taking advantage of the savings.  Yet there's still another minor problem, you're not a mechanic and have little to no experience with working on cars.  Follow this web quest and learn how you can change out those struts yourself!!!!
