Topic: Fifth GradeSocial Studies: The students will learn historical events associated with theBoston Tea Party through the process of using technology, vocabulary words, andassigned websites. The students will complete the lesson with a brief play forparents consisting of a video recording to demonstrate their knowledge.

Learner/Target Audience: Fifth Gradestudents will work in groups and independently for the projects assigned regarding the Boston Tea Party. Students will use handouts, assigned videos,and activities for knowledge regarding people and events associated with theBoston Tea Party.

Overview: Historical events have shaped the development of the United States. Having knowledge of these events,and the ramification that followed, act as reminders to present day citizens of the tyranny once imposed by Imperialist. The Boston Tea Party serves as one such example and demonstrates the desire for people to resists government supported monopolies and imposed governments on citizens.
