Carmel Middle School has recently adopted a new reading and writing program called SpringBoard.  SpringBoard is a program that focuses on college success and opportunity.  This program was developed to provide a roadmap for attaining the knowledge and skills students require for success in Advanced Placement courses and in college-level work.  Research shows that students learning by "doing." To develop a deep understanding of language arts concepts and their applications, SpringBoard curriculum addresses all learning modalities by including all students in rich discussion and application of concepts.  Through multiple learning and instructional strategies, students acquire not only the knowledge they need but also the confidence in their own abilities to learn and to communicate effectively in real-world situations.
