Photosynthesis and Cellular Respiration

Introduction

All living things require energy to survive whether they are uni-cellular or multi-cellular.  Many organisms are creatures of the sun.  Its light is the source of the free energy that powers life on Earth.  Two fundamental biological processes that involve energy are Photosynthesis and Respiration.  Both occur in a controlled series of reactions.  Photosynthesis is the main route by which free energy in the environment is made available to the living world.  Respiration forms usable energy to carry out cellular activity such as digestion, and  respiration.  Both processes are involved with maintaining homeostasis.  In this WebQuest you will examine the processes of Photosynthesis and Respiration.  You will compare and contrast these processes and develop a product to teach others about these mysterious processes.
