Factoring Monomials & Polynomials (GlencoeMcGraw-Hill Algebra 1 Sections 8-1 and 8-2)

In life, we are sometimes given tasks that seem way too big and difficult for us.  If you haven't experienced much of that yet, you will when you start going to college, when you start working, and when you start your own family.  Those times may seem far off, but it is never too early to prepare for these challenges!  I want you to be a strong, independent thinker who is prepared to come up with solutions to the problems that life will throw at you.  When you receive a seemingly overwhelming task, and don't know where to begin, a good first step is always to break apart the steps in the problem and to make the task seen more simple and doable.
