What is Censorship?
Introduction
Do you believe that we as Americans possess total freedom? If so, how can schools ban and censor students from reading great works of literature? It will be your job to research the titles of banned books as well as the reasons they were banned in order to compile a list of fiction and nonfiction, American, British and world literature that you would like to read on your own time. After your research, you will use the propaganda techniques and persuasive essay graphic organizer to write a letter to the school board convincing them the reason why students should read one specific "banned" book of your choice.
