Introduction Introduction

In many of the science or technology-based faculties, teaching tends to be more instructivist in nature with both instructors and students shying away from constructivist approaches.  The usual method of instruction tends to consist of an instructor lecturing at the front of the room and students memorizing and recalling the details from these lectures on exams.   Student learning also tends to be individualistic and independent of other students.

This Webquest is designed to be a fun teaching resource for both graduate students/teaching assistants and their undergraduate students in science and technological-based faculties in order to demonstrate how constructivist activities can effectively be used in teaching and learning even in such faculties.  Also, it aims to expose students to other faculties such as Arts, more specially English and History, and hone their writing, research, and teamwork  skills.
