Detective Science encompasses a variety of different skills/tools in order to solve mysteries.  Two important tools used while investigating and analyzing evidence are Chemistry and Biology!  Analyzing evidence to identify mysterious substances/powders, blood, and ink all require the use of Chemistry. Biology is used to learn more about a mystery through teeth impressions, bone identification, and DNA testing.

National police departments, such as the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), have their own detectives. These detectives take notes, interview witnesses, and collect evidence that will be analyzed, classified, compared, and observed. Detectives are responsible for making an inference based on the evidence in order to solve the mystery.

Is it possible for anyone, even kids, to solve a mystery?  How would you accomplish it?

Watch the YouTube videos below to learn about Jr. Special Agents in the FBI, and K-9 detectives in the CIA!
