Did you know that the skin is the largest external organ of the body? and that it is tough and flexible. The skin is a sense organ and all sense organs receive stimuli from the environment and send a stream of information along nerves to the brain.The skin is an organ consisting of tissues structurally joined together to perform specific functions. The four mainfunctions are: (1) Protection(2) Maintenance of body temperature: (3) Excretion (4) Perception of stimuli

1. The students will use the interactive resource to test their knowledge and learn more about the skin;first they will click on “interactive Labels off the skin.” By using the cursor to scroll over function, care, protection and anatomy; then click learn more and skin assessment to do quiz.2. The students will be place in groups and ask to do cross word puzzle on words relating to the skin to help build their vocabulary. 3. Students will stay in the same group and ask to label the diagram of the skin
and correct hints
to solve the puzzle.
