Reading Comprehension Student was unable to draw conclusions from assigned readings/has not connected facts from readings to written assignment. Student has adequate use of examples from text and has minimal understanding of the assigned readings. Student has made good use of examples drawn from text and has inferred correct answers from the assigned readings. Student has mastered the subject material and drawn significant and correct conclusions from assigned readings. 10
Grammar/Style Glaring errors, sentence fragments, misspellings and punctuation incorrectly placed. Needs significant re-drafting. Some minor grammatical errors, few misspellings and punctuation errors. Needs some minor improvement. No glaring errors and/or grammatical problems. Well placed sentences and punctuation. Needs little improvement. No errors whatsoever: perfect use of punctuation, grammar, spelling and sentence structure. No grammar/style errors. 10
