The written paper you have to write by answering the activities presented in the previous section, will be evaluated by means of a rubric, as well as your oral presentations. Both rubrics are presented below.

Your English spelling will be also taken into account: three grammatical mistakes will rest 0.5 points of the final mark of your paper.


Rubric for the written paper:

CONTENT AND ORIGINALITY (2 points)

The content is absolutely complete and it is written in such an original way that attracts the reader to keep discovering new information.

There is enough content but there is not originality.

There is not enough content and that content is not original at all.

ORGANIZATION AND PRESENTATION (2 points)

There is an index where the sections are organized as same as in the full paper. The presentation is not only good but pleasant for the reader to see.

The ideas are organized in all the paper and the presentation is good.

The ideas are organized into different sections but inside of each section there is no organization. The presentation is correct.

The written paper is a tumult of disorganized ideas presented in a poor manner. It is not possible to follow the reading.

VOCABULARY (2 points)

There is a perfect use of the vocabulary as it is not only appropriate but it shows the knowledge of the language and the topic.

The vocabulary is appropriate to the topic.

The vocabulary used is simple but there is no repetition.

The vocabulary used is very simple and repetitive throughout the paper.

LANGUAGE USE (GRAMMAR AND SYNTAX) (2 points)

The usage of the grammar and syntax is perfect. There are complex grammatical and syntactical constructions.

The presentation is full of interesting content and they focus on it.

The content is interesting but, sometimes, they get lost and they go off on a tangent.

ORGANIZATION (2 points)

The presentation is perfectly structured and all the points follow a logical order.

The presentation is perfectly structured but some ideas are constantly being repeated.

The audience gets lost at some point of the presentation but they understand a general outline and some key concepts.

The presentation is very messy, it does not follow a logical order and the audience gets completely lost.

VOLUME (2 points)

They speak with the appropriate volume for an oral presentation and everyone in the class can hear them.

Their volume level looks so unnatural that it seems that they are screaming, although they are heard by everyone in the class.

They speak so low that some words cannot be understood by everyone in the class.

Just the people sitting in the front row can understood what they say because they speak so low for an oral presentation.

PRONUNCIATION (2 points)

Their pronunciation is good and they enunciate perfectly.

Their pronunciation is good but they do not enunciate well.

They make pronunciation mistakes although they enunciate well.

They make pronunciation mistakes and they do not enunciate properly.

NON VERBAL COMMUNICATION (2 points)

Their gestures are very natural and they look at the audience while they make the oral presentation.

They look at the audience occasionally because they need to read some things of the visual support.

They look at the audience while presenting but they either do not move at all or they keep moving all the time that makes the audience lost concentration on what they are saying.

They do not look at the audience at all and they just read what is in the visual support.
