Scientific Notation
Evaluation
With your partner or on your own, begin assessing the material with the videos and tools that I have provided you with. After assessing all information, develop a presentation (Prezi, Knowvio, Powerpoint) that showcases how to use Scientific Notation. Just follow these basic steps for your presentation:
1. Length of presentation should be 3 minutes
2. Give brief definition of Scientific Notation
3. Showcase two learning techniques from resources that were provided. Example: To convert 3,200 to 3.2 x 10^3, I moved the decimal from 3,200 three spaces to the left which also means the exponent is to the 3rd power. Full answer is 3.2 x 10^3.
4. Leave 1 minute for questions and feedback
After your presentation which is due the day after you complete your worksheet. You will then take a quiz which is under the Quiz tab. This quiz has 7 questions worth 2 points each. This will be counted towards your final grade. Your total possible score is 24 points (presentation and quiz).
