Still Life in Art

Task 2 Specifics

In this Task you will create a still life drawing using graphite and charcoal. 

Use a 18" X 24" paper. You can use the entire page, or have a 2 1/2" frame. 

As you prepare your drawing, keep in mind the following:Composition: 

How will you arrange the items on the paper? 

What arrangement of the foreground, middleground and background will make your 

compostion dynamic?

Shading:Shading gives the objects mass. 

Using three or more tones will give a more realistic look to the objects you are drawing.

Background (of the drawing): The background compliments the still life itself, 

rather than competes with it.

Task 2 Rubric will tell you how you will be graded for this drawing.
