It is very important that you are assessed as you perform whatever tasks you are required to do. Through assessment, you will have a better sense of your strengths and weaknesses. You will be in a better position to grow as an individual and I will have a more definite representation of your competence in the area being tested.

For the tasks you have performed, you will be assessed as follows:

  • For the Introduction, you will be evaluated based on how well you work with your group mates as well as how well you follow instructions.
  • For the Development, you will be evaluated based on your knowledge of the content and how well you are able to decipher the answers for questions asked. (Step 1).
  • You will be evaluated based on how well you work together to complete the worksheet assigned to your group. You will also be evaluated based on the accuracy of your responses. (Step 2).
  • You will be assessed based on your participation in discussions. You will be evaluated based on how well you interpret the information available on the PowerPoint. (Step 3).
  • You will be evaluated based on how well you are able to pull on you prior knowledge of content already covered to help in your understanding of the present topic. (Step 4).
  • You will be assessed based on your level of participation in the Hot seating Activity focusing on the selected music video. (Steps 5, 6, 7).
  • You will be evaluated based on how you are able to manipulate the information discussed to create a more comprehensive definition of the term characterization. (Step 8).
  • For the Culminating Activity, you will be evaluated based on how well you are able to apply all you learned to create the autobiography for a selected main character in the prescribed text.

A further breakdown of how you will be evaluated is available in the form of a rubric.
