This is how you will be graded on your work.  Follow the rubric below to know what is expected of you.  Go for advanced, but proficient is at grade level.

Gives 4-5 facts for both hurricanes and tornadoes and shows good knowledge. Shows exceptional knowledge and gives 5-6 examples for each side. ____________
Vocabulary matching Dosen't give any understanding or detail. Does not show knowledge of hurricane vocabulary or of the reading. Gets over 75% correct and shows that they understand content read. Has all answers correct and shows that they have thoroughly read the links. _____________
Essay (Typed or handwritten) Does not follow directions and dose not use information from the text. Writes less than 2 paragraphs and does not show they understand how hurricanes form and what makes them powerful. Writes 2-3 paragraphs describing in good knowledge. Shows they have read the articles. Writes 3-4 detailed paragraphs about how hurricanes form and what makes them powerful. Shows full knowledge of topic. Uses perfect paragraph format. ____________
Hurricane diagram and paragraph. Uncompleted/messy diagram and not a paragraph worthy of understanding. Diagram is somewhat labeled correctly (less than 3), but does not give a good paragraph. Gives a good diagram that is correctly and has a nicely written paragraph that tell about where hurricanes get their power. Diagram is perfect and has 4-5 correctly labeled aspects of a hurricane. A great paragraph also shows which parts make it more destructive. (Parts that are calm and parts that are devastating. ____________
