Students will be evaluated on their understanding of the book and the questions that follow.  They also will be scored on their understanding of the sorting and mathematical concepts.

I was able to sort the puppets by animal. Students asked for assistance in identifying the animals. Students understood with little assistance which animals were similar. Students grouped nearly every animal according to the right species. Students sorted all puppets according to animal. 0-5
Student was able to count the animals according to type. Student used numbers to count the animals but did not count in order. Student was able to partially count the animals with assistance. Student was able to count the animals with little assistance. Student was able to count the amount of each animal. 0-5
Student was able to understand the addition of adding more animals to the tractor load. Student understood there was a higher amount of animals as the tractor progressed but not numerically. Student began to count the progression of animals with assistance. Student counted the progression of animals with little assistance and understood numerically. Student understood the addition of animals numerically (1 cow plus 1 cow equals 2 cows). 0-5
