Student has demonstrated mastery of World History Concepts Student did not try to complete World History Activities Student completed World History activities but did not hand in essay to explain how the Civil Rights impacted the lives of all people and why we should still be concerned about the inequalities of individual and group rights. Student noted information that tells visitors when the movement came to be and why it was instrumental in changing the lives of people who were of low income and color across the country but only used one Supreme Court Case to support this assignment. Student completed a protest poster with their team which list the pros and cons of social and human inequalities during the Civil Rights movement and included all components of the challange as requested to achieve mastery of this assignment. 15
American History Concepts and use of background vocabulary are included in writing assignments Student did not attempt this activity nor did they show understanding of the topic when asked verbally. Student used visual pictures to demonstrate the ride of Paul Revere and the crossing of George Washington as he crossed the Deleware. The student failed to include solutions for successful change. Student reached Mastery of this activity by giving a clear and well defined essay with 4 paragraphs that included a conclusion with personal solutions as requested using the desired essay. the essay had few gramatical eras. Student demonstrated mastery of this assignment. Student included information on the ride of Paul Revere and George Washingtons' crossing of the Deleware River. Student refelections demonstrated how the actions of George Washington and others in the North and South created issues of injustice. Student named three events we discussed in class and in our technology search to build thier main paragraphs in the requested essay and included their opinions for how solutions could be created to bring about positive change. The essay showed higher thinking skills. 15
Students deminstrated clear understanding of environmental issues in our country and that of South African and Nigeria and submitted a school project for waste management. Student did not clearly demonstrate understanding of environmental issues by completeing a comic script or skit as requested. no wate management project was present Students demonstrated fair understanding of environmental issues as they related to the U.S. and Africa as it related to famine and water pollution but the student failed to give solutions for issues identified or reasons why these environmental issues occured. There was a partial waste management activity present but the product was acceptable. The use of a comic strip or skit were used effectively in this activity. The student demonstrated understanding of the activity as it was written with solutions for correcting possible environmental issues in Africa and the U.S. but the waste managemnt project for the school was incomplete. Student explained the environmental issues sourrounding water pollution in South Africa using a comic strip or skit to demonstrate how they would solve the effects of the environmental issues that currently affect South Africa or Nigeria. The reflection questions were all considered in this product and the product was done without eras. The team submitted a waste management project for the school. 15
