You and your group have just analyzed and created something of value. You have explored the meanings of control, self talk, staying objective and thinking together strategies. You were able support and talk to your friend in need through a video. You have searched the websites to find how to help someone that is stressed and considering suicide. How will you talk to a friend in need now? Did you find that understanding your point of view or perspective in relation to the problem was easier when you decided what control you do have? How can you talk to yourself now that you know where negative talk leads you? Do you have control of your self talk? Can you be positive in a negative situation ? How will you use your non-verbal communication techniques you learned in the previous lesson and apply it to this situation?
