The Emotions and Experiences of WWII: Did people understand the Gravity of the time they were living in?
Conclusion---WWII touched Everyone!!
As we should have learned through this process is that WWII wasn't just a name. This conflict touched all the lives that lived through it. Even if you didn't participate in it directly, a brother, or a husband did. As complicated and horrific as the time was, we should also see that peoples lives were more simple back then concerned mainly with their loved ones and means to survive. Unlike today where our concerns stream from twitter to facebook to friends to sporting events, and god knows what else. We also should have learned that no matter how horrific or how much distance this war put between people, the natural human inclination for companionship and a sense of normalcy continued on without pause.
