Conclusion of Maps Unit
Congratulations students, you have discovered how to use a map and learned why it is important to know how to use a map properly. You have also learned that globes are models of the Earth, and can be used to look at continents and oceans that are too big to see in a personal view. Maps can show us how to get to multiple locations, it is up to us to know how to read maps and use them properly. Please remember that maps can be used to locate rivers, roads, cities, towns, road routes, and mountains. Maps also help us determine the distances between locations, and show us how to go the shortest and safest route to our desired destination.
