Part of the National Park Services' "Presenting Race and Slavery at Historic Sites." http://www.nps.gov/history/crdi/research.htm Upon completion of this project, you will have learned about history and how historians create history through their own original individual, group, and class-wide historical productions. You will have implemented multiple historical methodologies, assembled historical data in new ways, and presented your work in a variety of settings. This includes a professional setting and a proposal to an organization to commemorate the history that we have studied. In so doing, you will have developed some insight into a fundamental aspect of American history and allowed other to share widely in that insight. As you consider your experience with this project, you might consider the following additional questions: 1. What does our research signify about our culture in addition to our history? 2. How did our research change or reinforce your perspective on the inauguration of President Barack Obama? 3. What related historical questions did our research raise, and would you consider new lines of inquiry to address these new questions?
