Native Alaskan Life and Culture

Congratulations!  You have successfully completed your expedition and returned safely home.  You should have gained a significant amount of knowledge about and respect for the native Alaskan tribe you lived with while you were stranded somewhere in the wilderness of Alaska.  Your expedition group now has a unique and authentic miniature totem pole to remember your journey and time spent with your tribe.  

 

You should have been able to answer the questions presented previously:

1. How do people live in different ways and for what reasons?
2. Which native Alaskan way of life appeals to you most?  Why?  

Now that you have become experts on your group's tribe we will be taking a field trip to the Alaska Native Heritage Center - the site where you found much of your information.  You will get a chance to see the shelters of your tribes re-created and get to experience a little bit of what life was actually like for each of these native Alaskan tribes.  It will be a fun and exciting trip!
