Disability History Week

After what you learned about people with disabilities, we are sure that you encountered many things that may have surprised, disturbed and even inspired you. We hope you have gained more insight about people with disabilities and perhaps less fear, prejudice or misunderstanding. Remember how things have improved since the 17th century, the days of Helen Keller and even since the turn of this century.

First and foremost, remember that YOU can help make the lives of people with disabilities better with your new understanding and your desire to ACT. We can help or hurt progress. Think about the world today and how the changes that we predict for the future can expand as well as limit opportunities for specific groups of people.
