You have gained valuable insight to the underlying circumstances that led to the increased slave trade and how it shaped our southern colonies.  Products grown in the colonies continued to increase causing need for laborers and slave numbers continued to increase to meet the world's needs.  These slaves created a lot of income for land owners through years of captive labor, but fortunately the day came when all slaves were freed.
