First, second and third-grade students are naturally curious about the world of nature; an animal research exposition project is a great way to capture students' interest while they learn and practice lessons from several subject areas. Reading, science, research, art and writing skills are all necessary in order to complete an animal research project.

When students have finished their exposition projects, allow them time to share their findings. Students who have chosen the same animal can tell the class what similar and different things they found from each other. Discuss what all the animals have in common as well as things that are unique or strange.

At the end of this project the student will have a greater knowledge of farm animals, not just which animals are which, but also how to take care of them. They will also have a much greater knowledge of how to work together as a group and make a good animal exposition. This WebQuest hopefully will really open their eyes to alot of different fun and exciting things. I believe with the correct structure this can be a great opportunity for children to work together in groups and realize what there strengths and weaknesses are while in a group setting. I also believe working in a website will be a key to furthering there knowledge because with technology growing so quickly it will soon be an important part of life in all classes.
